SPR Horses has been created to breed quality sport and performance horses by selecting top imported semen and pairing it with quality mares of imported bloodlines. By only producing a few foals a year, we are able to concentrate on the quality of the breeding, upbringing and training of our horses. The property is set up to provide a natural lifestyle for the horses while allowing for easy care and maintenance. By living as part of a herd, in large open paddocks all year round, they learn natural social behaviour giving them confidence around other horses and people. The varied landscape offered by the property creates a playground for all horses, allowing them to develop strength and hardiness. The result is a well bred, well built and well trained horse for riders of all ability.
With international training, coaching and competition experience in multiple disciplines we are able to offer professionally trained horses who have exposure to a variety of disciplines.
Our training program starts from the day they are born, with constant handling and their growing up in a herd, on large varied landscape which helps them develop in a well rounded horse with good judgement and a calm and confident nature.
When they are old enough they are all started in a positive way which giving them rider confidence and basic skills. They all receive float training, and as they mature they are progressively schooled in Dressage and Show Jumping, as well as experiencing Introductory eventing.
For all these reasons our horses are easy to handle and ride for pleasure riders, however they also offer more for the experienced competitor.
For more info on our trainer, go to www.lindatreur.com.
By selecting top imported semen and pairing it with quality mares of imported bloodlines, we are able to offer horses of European quality but with Australian hardiness.
All our horses are well handled and trained up to the appropriate level for their age, growth and maturity. We do not start our horses until they are at least 3 1/2 years of age, which allows the horse to develop properly and limits the possibility of wear injuries later in life and allowing for a longer competitive life.
The result is a calm, confident easy to handle horse which is strong enough to move just as easily with or without a rider on it's back.
All our ridden horses have a varied training program, which includes exposure to trot poles, jumping, cross country and conditioning training.
They are handled and ridden by a variety of people as we find it important that anybody can handle and ride them.
All our horses are micro-chipped, DNA tested as well as registered with both the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) at 6 months of age, and with Equestrian Australia (EA) at 3 years of age.
All horses get their annual vaccinations for tetanus, strangles and Hendra and have regular dental and farrier care.
As it can be hard to decide if a horse is right for you, we offer trial periods through our Horse Rental program which allows you a great opportunity to really get to know your future horse.
Frühling was mother superior and our foundation mare. She has a special place in our heart as not only was she the one who inspired us to start our frozen semen breeding program, but she was the matriarch of the herd, who gave all our youngsters skills and confidence. Loopy, as she was known to us, came from a dominant matriarch line. She was a very proud, majestic and confident horse and this reflected instantly on anybody who had the pleasure of riding her.Numerous closely related horses were successful on an international level in both dressage and jumping. Prior to her breeding years she competed in both dressage and show jumping and was without a doubt a very impressive and powerful horse under saddle with a great use of hind leg and an impressive bascule over a jump. Loopy was a very fit, athletic and sound riding horse till the very last and she passed many of her qualities on to her offspring, some of who continue in our breeding program.

Vita was born and bred in Holland and came to Australia in 2004. She is the perfect example of a modern warmblood. A blend of jumping and dressage lines through her international pedigree which contains a mix of Dutch, German and French bloodlines. She is a very elegant horse with surprisingly powerful, yet light footed movement and the typical free Dutch shoulder in her trot and canter. She has a quick hind leg and is sharp on a jump as well. All of Vita's progeny exhibit powerful athletic movement making them great riding horses, which are quiet enough to handle and ride, yet sensitive enough for the professional competitor. Vita has proven beyond doubt to be a real asset to our breeding program.

Like her mother, she was born to be a matriarch and she has taken over the reins. She oozes confidence and power with the majestic elegance of Sandro Hit shining through. Joia is a great horse to ride, always keen, forward thinking and powerful yet controllable. Her movement is always uphill with great over-track. She has competed in eventing during her younger years but is now part of our breeding programShe is also occasionally used as a school master for selected riders.

A beautiful, elegant, long legged and well muscled mare with a kind eye which makes her stand out in the Eventing crowd. With the combination of a pedigree full of athletic ability in both dressage and jumping, and the upbringing on our varied landscape, it is no surprise that eventing comes easy to her. She is brave, keen, and always ready to go the extra mile, yet so easy to adjust and control. Her movement has plenty of overtrack, however she can also collect well. She is easy to control around a cross country course, and with good judgment to jumps, she is both very competitive and safe. She is currently competing at 1* Eventing and has previously competed at Medium Level Dressage. She is currently training in cross country at 2*.

This horse is FUN! You can't help but have a smile on your face when you ride her. She is super cute with active movement and a quick hind leg. She has a rhythmic and balanced canter, and as the photos show, great engagement in the trot! As you would expect with her pedigree, she has great jumping ability and technique. With her overall good movement, looks, ability to collect and a flair for piaffe and passage, she is also very promising for the dressage and show hack ring. Children and adults alike can ride this horse, she is easy to sit to, responsive to light aids and always keen with a bold personality. Her international pedigree also makes her a valuable breeding mare.

Louis is aptly named after the flamboyant sun king of France. He was pure royalty from the moment he was born and moves with lots of airs and graces. This horse turns heads everywhere he goes and we have great expectations of him. He inspired us to repeat his breeding 4 times over and each and every sibling is of outstanding quality and promise. He has an impressive and engaged over track in walk and trot, and the canter is ever so uphill, so supple and over the back in all three paces. Not surprising if you have a close look at his pedigree, with the superb proven quality and substance of the stallion of the century Weltmeyer, combined with the elegance, power and flair of our imported KWPN mare, Vita. Louis loves people and is always there for a pat.
As his pedigree states, this is dressage royalty! Sandro Hit needs no introduction; his offspring has proven over and over again to be outstanding, majestic and elegant. His dam, IHB Weltina is by German State stud "Celle" sire of the century, Weltmeyer. She herself was a wonderful riding horse with a great hind leg coupled with a kind and willing nature. Calimero has been a gem to train from day one and like his dam, he is always willing to do the best he can. He is such a kind horse to have around as well, we just can't fault him. His movement has got natural cadence and an ability to collect, with a flair for piaffe and passage. Calimero is fun to jump as well and has been easy over cross country fences including ditches and water.

Horatio is a full brother to Louis and like his siblings, he is superb in all three paces. So soft and supple to ride, yet with a lot of natural engagement and length of stride. Again the combination of the world-class sire Weltmeyer and our imported KWPN mare Vita, has given us a brilliant riding horse with the kindest nature. Horatio is so good with all our young horses as well, taking on the big brother role, looking after them and showing them the ropes. He was easy to start under saddle and was already ridden by varies riders after only 10 days of training. He is balanced, calm and confident and although only young, we already use him for lessons for a few select riders, all of whom love the opportunity to ride a truly talented horse. Horatio has got a lot of bone and will grow into a very impressive competition horse.
What a character! Most of us know him as Shrek, but we don't think of him as being ordinary. Shrek was our quickest and smartest foal, and this has carried through in his training as well. From the first ride he was balanced, cadenced, confident and uphill. This makes him so easy and secure to ride, giving many riders confidence and the ability to learn new skills. He is only young but has offered us so much already that he is truly earning his keep by being a schoolmaster for selected riders. His sire is the superb Weltmeyer and his dam is our wonderful foundation mare and highly respected matriarch, HP Frühling. Shrek looks a lot like her and has the same powerful and confident movement, yet a very kind and laid back nature which makes him just the perfect riding horse.

A beautiful and sassy young mare, Barbarella is just stunning! She doesn't touch the ground when she moves. A great modern sports pedigree with a blend of top dressage and jumping lines through Dutch, German and a hint of French bloodlines. She was the favorite grand child of our matriarch HP Frühling and has the flair to dominate a herd. This young mare is a real head turner who is currently in foal to international Jumping sire, Diarado. We are eagerly awaiting her first foal before we embark on her riding career.

Prima Vera is just to most beautiful filly, with perfect conformation from the moment she was born and the sweetest nature.
This filly is bound to be an absolute head turner and would make a great Dressage or Royal show hack horse.
Both her sire and dam are so trainable and have so much flair under saddle that this is without a doubt going to be a superb riding horse worthy of the best home and a talented rider.
She is getting the best natural upbringing on our varied landscape and our herd of calm confident horses.
Have a good look at her pedigree and it will show why we are so confident in our expectations.
